Apidya is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up remake of the 1992 game, rebuilt with new pixel art and sound effects. Players battle through five themed worlds—Meadow, Pond, Sewers, Cyber and Lair—with up to five levels in each, facing 20 distinct bosses and finding hidden special stages.
The remake offers a widescreen presentation with parallax effects or a classic 4:3 mode, along with optional CRT-style visual effects. Random events, including a Night Mode with new enemy sprites, add variations to play. In co-op, the second player controls a bee with its own weapons, while adjustable difficulty settings let players choose the level of challenge.
