This arcade action game, based on the animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers, centers on fighting pollution and eco-villains. Its versions differ considerably in their stages and gameplay: on the NES, the Planeteers fly an Eco-Jet to enemy fortresses before Captain Planet takes on opponents in beat-'em-up stages.
In the Amiga and Atari ST versions, each stage focuses on a different Planeteer, with objectives that include cleaning up pollution using magic rings and rescuing animals with vehicles. The final stage puts Captain Planet in control, using powers collected along the way. The Genesis version has stages for four Planeteers, followed by battles against four villains and a final Captain Planet level; progress is limited by a countdown.
