CS2D is a top-down multiplayer shooter in which two teams fight in matches with different objectives. Matches can be played online, over a local network or against bots. Modes include bomb planting, hostage rescue, VIP assassination, capture the flag, deathmatch, team deathmatch, construction and zombie survival.
The arsenal includes firearms, grenades, mines, armor and melee weapons, as well as lasers and portal guns. In Construction mode, players build turrets, walls and teleporters. The built-in editor lets players create maps, while Lua scripts can be used to modify and extend the game.
