Curvatron is a minimalist arcade game that reworks the classic Snake formula with single-button controls. In Adventure mode, the player progresses through levels of increasing difficulty; Classic mode is about collecting points and surviving as long as possible, while Evergrowing challenges the player to make the snake as long as possible without collecting points. Creative mode lets players make art with the snake, and the Tron-like multiplayer mode supports up to eight players on one system.
The game includes a level editor, also used to create its available levels, and lets players share their own levels or find ones made by the community. Its soundtrack features 30 pieces created by people around the world.
