Game Dev Studio

A management simulator about building a game studio and competing in the video game industry. The player can furnish and expand the office, then assign employees to teams and projects according to their skills, traits, and interests. Several teams can develop different games at once, or focus their efforts on a single project.

The studio creates its own game engines, updates them, and uses them to develop games. Finished projects can be promoted through advertising campaigns, interviews, and early gameplay videos. Rivals may try to poach employees, while released games affect the popularity and market share of the platforms they are made for. Alongside story mode, the game includes four campaigns and a freeplay mode; various aspects can also be randomized at the start of a playthrough. Mods can change many parts of the game.
