Set during the California Gold Rush of 1849, this adventure follows Jerrod Wilson on a journey from New York to California. The player chooses one of three historic routes: across the Great Plains and mountain ranges, over the Isthmus of Panama, or around Cape Horn.
Along the way, Jerrod encounters historical sights and other characters, and solves puzzles. The game supports both command-based input and point-and-click controls; this updated version of the classic adventure also features voice acting and animated scenes.
