A strategy and city-building game about governing a Roman province during the Roman Empire. The player leads one of five noble families, each with distinct abilities, through a nonlinear campaign of 40 missions. Building a strong economy, meeting the needs of the population, and trading with other cultures are central to developing the province.
The game features research, sea trade, battles against barbarian tribes, and naval warfare. Units have different combat abilities, while character development follows the course of historical events. The campaign can be played solo or in multiplayer with up to three other players.
