A paintball sports shooter about directing a team and designing fields for matches. The field editor offers three field sizes and lets players place bunkers and other objects, change their textures, position and scale, and create mirrored layouts. In Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd, field design is part of preparing for a match.
Before play begins, the player can set tactics for AI teammates by assigning them specific bunkers, choosing who runs and who shoots, and selecting targets for opening shots. Career Mode supports co-op, with players teaming up against professional teams, while head-to-head matches let them compete against one another. Up to four players can also play on the same screen.
