This text-based role-playing novel continues the story of Sabres of Infinity, casting the player as a cavalry commander and officer in the Royal Tierran Army during a war of gunpowder and magic. The story responds to the protagonist’s choices, which shape his relationships with nobles, rogues, and spies and can lead to friendship, betrayal, or romance.
Battles against Antari forces can be approached with cunning, force, or bravado, while training and drilling the squad helps prepare it for combat. Choices also affect the soldiers under the commander’s care: he can keep them alive or sacrifice them for personal gain. He must also decide whether to support his family financially.
