Kokuga is a strategic shooter set during a military conflict, in which the player pilots a compact tank built to fight the forces of a neighboring country. The vehicle has nine weapons and an array of power-ups, while its targets include tanks, drones, gun towers, and other mecha. The campaign begins with 12 training missions, each ending in a battle against a heavily armed boss, before the tank is sent into active duty against enemy forces.
Kokuga can be played solo or in a local squad of up to four players. Teammates can coordinate their use of cards and support one another as they develop strategies for each stage. The game’s structure accommodates both short sessions and longer challenges.
