Lost Planet 2 is a futuristic third-person shooter set on E.D.N. III, where rival factions fight a civil war over Thermal Energy used to power weapons and vehicles. Ten years after the events of the first game, the planet’s ice is melting, revealing tropical jungles and deserts, while players follow the conflict through the eyes of heroes from different factions.
The campaign spans six interconnected episodes, with storylines unfolding from multiple perspectives. Missions can be played solo or in teams of up to four, while separate online modes support matches of up to 16 players. Combat features a varied arsenal, grappling hooks for quickly reaching elevated positions, and Vital Suits—armed robotic vehicles, some of which can transform, carry several players, or require coordinated control.
