Microsoft Flight Simulator X is a flight simulator set across a virtual world, where aircraft can depart from airports around the globe and travel to more than 24,000 destinations. Players choose an aircraft, departure point, time, season and weather conditions. The selection includes a 747 airliner, the F/A-18 Hornet, the P-51D Mustang and the EH-101 helicopter.
In multiplayer, players can take the role of pilot, co-pilot or air-traffic controller. Racing events include several formats, from air races to glider competitions. More than 80 missions cover activities such as search and rescue, test flights and carrier operations. Mission records track progress, while AI-controlled jetways, fuel trucks and baggage carts add activity to busy airports.
