This first-person adventure horror game draws on the Paranormal Activity universe and follows a protagonist exploring an ordinary-looking house in a wooded neighborhood. Clues reveal the mystery of what happened there as the protagonist tries to survive paranormal threats. The house can be explored freely, while a flashlight with a fast-draining battery provides the main source of light.
To evade the threat, the protagonist can run, hide, or try to outsmart it. Random scares can occur outside story moments, so their timing is unpredictable. The game can be played in virtual reality or without a VR headset, and after the tutorial there are no on-screen directions or HUD to interrupt exploration.
