This turn-based historical strategy game covers European conflicts of the 16th and 17th centuries, including the Thirty Years’ War, the English Civil War and the Great Turkish War. Campaigns let players command different nations and factions, while a separate skirmish campaign pits armies from across the period against one another in a struggle for dominance.
Battles use a tactical turn-based system, and their outcomes affect the readiness of forces in later engagements, making every unit count. On the strategic map, decisions are shaped by terrain, manpower, supply, attrition, sieges and economic damage. The game also features standalone historical battles and scenarios using armies assembled from researched historical lists.
