Futuristic races in supersonic flying craft take place on dedicated tracks and city streets. The player competes against opponents with distinct personalities and driving styles, ranging from decommissioned war droids to spoiled rich kids. Races are available in single-player and multiplayer modes, including split-screen and system link play.
Alongside track events, opponents can be challenged to illegal one-on-one races through streets filled with ramps, tunnels, and obstacles. As the player progresses, they develop their driving skills, learn tricks, and improve their best times. Craft sustain realistic damage: panels buckle or come off, hydraulics malfunction, and debris falls onto the track, creating hazards during a race.
