This music rhythm game challenges players to hit directional arrows in time with the beat as they move across the screen. Pulsen features 85 songs, each with at least five difficulty levels and its own arrow patterns and play style. More accurate timing results in a higher score.
Songs can be played solo or locally with a second player, using a keyboard, controller, dance pad, or drum set controller. Song modifiers, settings, and arrow skins offer ways to adjust the experience. Workout mode tracks exercise intensity while songs play without breaks.
