Shattered Union is a turn-based tactical war strategy game set in a future where the nuclear destruction of Washington, D.C., has split the United States into warring states. The player leads one of these new sovereignties or the European Expeditionary Force in a campaign to reunify the country.
Orders are chosen in turns, while their execution and results play out in real time. Missions follow a nonlinear path shaped by the player’s decisions, and battles can permanently alter buildings and terrain for the remainder of each mission. Armies can field National Guard equipment or acquire Russian weapons through an alliance.
