Talisman Prologue is a single-player adventure game based on the Talisman board game and set in its fantasy world. Its campaigns tell separate stories and introduce the lands of Talisman, with the narrative unfolding as each adventure progresses.
The player rolls dice to move a hero through the outer, middle, and inner regions of the board. Each space calls for drawing a card or resolving a special effect, leading the hero to encounter monsters, find friendly followers, and collect treasure. Progress is shaped by this sequence of events and by the cards and effects encountered along the way.
