The Withering

The Withering is a survival horror simulator set in a modern world devastated by a viral infection that wiped out 90% of the population and triggered a series of catastrophes. Players manage a camp of survivors, assigning tasks, upgrading buildings, and overseeing production, trade, and diplomacy. Decisions made during radio tower missions shape each playthrough, while gear can be crafted and equipped to prepare survivors for scavenging trips.

At any time, players can take control of one of the camp’s heroes and explore the dying world in third person. These expeditions involve scavenging for resources, materials, and equipment to bring back for use in the camp. Random events, loot, and different enemy types vary each playthrough. Character progression improves melee and firearm skills, while different types of gear provide bonuses.
