This horror adventure with visual-novel elements follows a group of students trapped in an otherworldly version of an abandoned elementary school after performing a charm meant to bind them together as friends. At Heavenly Host, vengeful spirits of children threaten the group, and uncovering the details of past murders is tied to the hope of survival.
Players control nine main characters and several supporting characters, split into small groups. They explore the school, examine objects and bodies, and make choices that affect the story, its ending, and who survives. The gameplay combines adventure-style exploration with elements of a classic Japanese role-playing game, but has no battles.
