Set in a science-fiction future, this real-time strategy game centers on a war between the galactic government Core and the resistance movement known as the Arm. The conflict began when Core made “patterning”—the electronic duplication of brain matrices to transfer consciousness into machines—mandatory. Those who rejected abandoning their bodies fled to the galaxy’s outer reaches and formed the Arm. The war lasts more than 4,000 years and devastates worlds across the galaxy.
