Xenoraid is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up set in the near future, where humanity is fighting an alien invasion. Its campaign spans more than 40 procedurally driven missions, with AI-controlled enemies making encounters play out differently each time. The campaign also features boss battles against four alien capital ships.
The squadron consists of four fighters, which represent both the player’s remaining lives and the available arsenal. Fighters can be switched during combat to bring in a suitable weapon or evade incoming fire; weapons heat up when fired, and fighters tilt as they move horizontally. Three endless Survival missions with online leaderboards offer an alternative to the campaign, and all modes support local co-op for two to four players.
