Action ist ein Genre von Videospielen, bei dem der Erfolg bei der Durchführung einer bestimmten Aufgabe von der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit des Spielers und der Fähigkeit abhängt, schnell die richtige Entscheidung zu treffen. Die Dynamik solcher Spiele ist hoch, obwohl einige es ermöglichen, das Tempo zu drosseln.
